Dr Jacqueline Harness

PhD PsychBA MCouns MBA

Psychologist | Therapist | Facilitator

I am a Psychologist and Academic with many years of therapeutic experience supporting people through major life transitions, and in finding their own strengths and resources to alleviate problems associated with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, and loss. I spent a considerable amount of my career in medical research, have grown a business, raised a family, and now the Discipline Lead (Counselling) at The University of Southern Queensland.

Outside of work I love to connect with nature, hike with friends, cycle to the gym and read. The last decade involved a deep journey of personal growth across the globe that included plant medicine journeys in Peru, Mexico and Holland, somatic emotion focussed group facilitation training, and Certification as a Psychedelic Assisted Therapist with Mind Medicine Australia.

The trauma-informed holistic therapy at Harness supports people at all stages of life who may feel they have no way forward, no voice, or no safe place to connect to explore their relationship with themselves and those they love. Psychotherapy is where the heart and mind best connect and thrive; this is where together; we can make the greatest impact and affect the most powerful change in your reality.

Using evidence-based approaches, I work collaboratively and kindly with individuals, groups, and corporate teams to connect to their inner wisdom and with those around them.

I look forward to meeting you and working together.
